Its all about Air Pollution.
That is the message for the build-up to this year’s UN World Environment Day (UN WED).
Following on from last year’s highly successful UN WED 2018, which took the theme of #BeatPlasticPollution, this year’s event will spread the message about air pollution and its acute and chronic effects around the world & what we can all do to reduce our local and global air pollution.
Approximately, 7 million people worldwide die prematurely each year from air pollution, with about 4 million of these deaths occurring in Asia-Pacific. So it is fitting that World Environment Day 2019 will be hosted in China with celebrations across multiple cities especially in Hangzhou, which will host the main event
The event will urge governments, industry, communities, and individuals to come together to explore renewable energy and green technologies, and improve air quality in cities and regions across the world.
There will be much more to explore about the UN World Environment Day 2019, which will be held on 5 June and Air Pollution over the coming weeks.
