The Environment Agency has published version 5 of its guidance on “Complying with the Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme”

The Environment Agency has published version 5 of its original Complying with the Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme laying out guidance on the determination of a large undertaking, steps to complete an ESOS Assessment, the role of the Lead Assessor and specific considerations for determining energy audits and recommendations.

This version deals with the following four consequential issues:

  1. Amendment to Q26 answer one to reflect the wording on the notification portal.
  2. Section 1.1 additional wording on Higher Education Institutions.
  3. Section 1.2 amendment to include additional information about the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 for second and subsequent compliance periods.
  4. Section 1.5 additional wording relating to investment companies.

As at 21 March 2016, the document still contains two internal Environment Agency comments on pages 4 and 83 relating to dating the publication with the correct final publication date. I have raised this issue with the webmaster for the http://www.gov.uk website and should be corrected by the time you download the document.
