With the many changes to Accreditation and Certification during the current Covid-19 pandemic, a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) have been developed by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
With the trend towards cancelled audits, remote auditing and timed transitions, such as OHSAS 18001:2007 to ISO 45001:2018, the IAF have stepped up to quell the confusion in the marketplace.
If you head over to the special IAF website IAFFAQ.com, you are likely to find the answer to your Remote Audit, Certification or Accreditation questions, such as:
Q15: What will happen to the Migration period for ISO 45001; will it be extended?
Q22: Could time duration for closure of Non Conformities be prolonged taken into consideration the COVID-19 outbreak? If so, what will be the mechanism / procedure and who is responsible for decision making?
IAF is open to including new FAQ’s to join the list. If you have any other questions, please submit them to iaf@iaf.nu along with a suggested response. Questions will be promptly addressed by the IAF COVID-19 FAQ Task Force and if useful for all to see, posted on the FAQs.
