The Carbon Trust is launching an energy efficiency programme START2ACT aimed at SME (Small & Medium-sized Enterprises) with an initial baseline survey on energy efficiency at SMEs in the UK.

START2ACT is a free service offering energy efficiency training, online energy saving advice and breakfast events to assist young SMEs and start-ups with energy reduction. As a starting point, there is an initial survey, which  will take about 10-15 minutes to complete and it will enter you into a prize draw to win the following great prizes: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Kindle Oasis, Sony Smartwatch 3, SWR50 Jabra Move wireless headphones. From November 2016 onwards, the Carbon Trust will be offering free services to young SMEs and start-up organisations with under 50 employees, such as breakfast training events to learn about how you can save energy and costs in your business (includes a free breakfast!), tailored training including three visits and on-going support from their energy efficiency experts, to identify energy saving opportunities on your site, online training including an e-learning module & an energy saving competition, where you can complete stages to earn recognition, including a prize for the winners
