As part of the developmental process for all International Standards, ISO launched a survey, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) has in place international and national committees (ISO TC 207 in the case of ISO 14001 and 14004) to provide input to shape the standards.
Often the voice of the users and other interested parties may get lost in the committee process. ISO is offering, through an on-line survey, the possibility to bring your individual views and needs on the revision of ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 with regards to continual improvement.
The current time frame revision is to have a FDIS (Final Draft International Standard) in August 2014 with the publication of the revised ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 in January 2015.
I, strongly, encourage you to take part in this survey to ensure your views as users (and other interested parties) of ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 can be considered for the next revision round of the two International Standards. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and you have until 25 April 2015 to make your views known.
After the close of the survey, it is intended that the overall results will be presented at the next meeting of ISO TC 207 Environmental Management Systems in June 2013.
