I would like to thank all of the many visitors to my environmental WordPress site over the past year.
2012 has been a year of much change in the role of environmental management in businesses and wider society especially in these economically challenging times.
Environmental professionals have risen to these challenges & I am proud and privileged to have made significant contributions to a number of international projects in Ukraine, Japan and China.
It is difficult to predict the events and outcomes that will shape 2013 but I have plans to develop the WordPress site with further emphasis on the use of International Standards, such as ISO 14001:2004 and EMAS III, accreditation and certification to support enhanced environmental performance and legal compliance.
These plans will mirror the key developments from ISO (International Organization for Standardization) for the revision of ISO 14001:2004, the outcomes from the sniffer project on “Improved alignment of UKAS-accredited certification bodies’ activities with UK environment agencies’ regulatory processes” and the use of EMS (Environmental Management Systems) by the Environment Agency.
Already, there are developments for a series of articles to support greater understanding of environmental compliance. The full news on this development and other offerings will be released in the New Year. I know that you will be as enthusiastic as I am about these plans and I look forward to your further participation and involvement.
In the meantime, I wish a Merry Christmas & a happy and successful New Year to each and every one of the readers of my WordPress website: andrewtmarlow.wordpress.com.
