Across more than 50 countries around the world, Type I Eco-labels exist to help reduce the environmental impact of products and services.
Type I Eco-labels are considered to be “best-in-class” based on the use of strict environmental standards and the process that they must undergo through independently third-party certification to ensure that an Eco-label Product” is environmentally friendly and has environmental integrity in its claims.
During the week beginning 25 October 2018, there is an opportunity to celebrate the use of Eco-Label products and services for the first time. There will be activities, promotions, and education in almost every country that has Eco-Label products and services during the week leading up to and including World Ecolabel Day to bring awareness to the environmental integrity of Type I Ecolabels.
Using Eco-label products daily in your household or at your workplace creates a positive effect on sustainable consumption and lifestyle with the piece of mind that the Eco-label products are protecting the planet and doing the least amount of harm.
